Instructions

Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly. Grease the bottom of a baking dish generously with butter.

Arrange a layer of potatoes and season with salt. Add thinly sliced red onion and chopped garlic. Cover with cheese slices. Add another layer of potatoes and season again.

Mix the cream with a little salt and pepper and pour evenly over the potatoes.

Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and bake for about 1 hour, until the potatoes are soft and golden on top.
