This dish proves that simple ingredients can create something truly delicious. Juicy chicken rolls filled with mozzarella, flavored with herbs and sun-dried tomatoes, and baked in a creamy tomato sauce make a comforting family meal. Perfect for a Sunday lunch or an easy weekday dinner.

Instructions

Cut the chicken breasts in half lengthwise and gently pound them. Season with salt and pepper.
Mix all remaining spices and coat the chicken thoroughly.

Place a few mozzarella balls on each piece, roll up tightly and secure with toothpicks.
Heat oil in a pan and brown the rolls on all sides. Add a little water, season if needed and simmer briefly.

Transfer the rolls to an ovenproof dish. Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 15 minutes.
Add remaining mozzarella balls if any. Mix cream with flour and tomato paste, pour over the rolls and bake for another 5–10 minutes, until the sauce thickens slightly.

Serve with rice, pasta or dumplings.
